Pregnancy stretches the deep abdominal muscles, particularly the transversus abdominis (Trans Ab). We use diagnostic ultrasound to visualise your Trans Ab engagement and provide real-time feedback, helping you to effectively re-educate and strengthen these crucial muscles. This is vital for core stability and support.
We specialise in treating rectus diastasis, the separation of the abdominal muscles that often occurs during pregnancy. We utilise Compex neuromuscular electrical stimulation to help rapidly close the separation and restore core strength.
A weakened pelvic floor can lead to various issues, including incontinence and prolapse. We provide guidance and exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, improving bladder and bowel control and supporting pelvic organ function.
We offer comprehensive scar work for C-section deliveries, utilising manual therapy, radiofrequency treatment, and Compex to improve scar mobility, reduce pain, and promote healing. We address any restrictions in the scar tissue and surrounding muscles.
We gently mobilise the back and pelvis to address any misalignments or restrictions that may have developed during pregnancy and childbirth, helping to restore proper alignment and reduce pain.
The ligaments in your feet can loosen during pregnancy, sometimes requiring orthotics for support and stability. We can assess your feet and advise on appropriate footwear or orthotic options.
We use our 3D postural analysis system to assess your posture and identify any imbalances that may be contributing to pain or discomfort. We then develop a tailored exercise programme to help you regain good posture.
We’ll guide you through a graded exercise programme designed to gradually rebuild your strength and fitness, taking into account your individual needs and recovery progress. We’ll help you safely return to your pre-baby activity levels.
