A sports massage is ideal to treat injuries as well as providing preventative treatment, helping the health of muscle and connective tissue, range of movement, tone, symmetry, balance of muscle and quality of posture.
Sports massage at Physiolistic is a useful adjunct to rehabilitation and treatment but is also useful for anyone with an active lifestyle as it provides a holistic approach to general body functioning and injury prevention. Our sports massage therapists believe in easing out muscle tightness to help restore normal movement. They use various massage techniques during their sessions which will be specific to your needs.
If you are wanting someone to look into the cause of your pain and give a diagnosis , then a physiotherapy assessment is a better option. Sports massage is for targeting tight and painful muscles and giving good symptomatic relief but not for getting to the root cause of the problem.
Although it is called sports massage , you do not have to be sporting, it is a therapeutic form of massage. The depth and pressure of the massage will be varied to individual needs.
We’re here to make it as easy as possible to get back to living pain free. We’re open 7 days a week and will have a member of our friendly team ready to support you every step of the way. Book online or give us a call to see how we can help.
