James Upchurch

Physiotherapist

James graduated from the University of East Anglia with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. He has gained experience across a range of musculoskeletal settings, including inpatient orthopaedics, outpatient MSK services and working with amateur sports teams.

With a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, James has completed additional training in sports massage, acupuncture and dry needling. He has a particular interest in understanding each patient’s individual goals, helping them make sense of their pain or injury, and using evidence-based approaches to support their recovery and return to the activities they enjoy.

Outside of work, James enjoys playing hockey, going to the gym and cooking. He’s also always happy to enjoy a nice pub and good company!

James’s best advice for patients:

“It’s normal to have ups and downs throughout your rehabilitation. Trust the process, trust your body and keep moving in ways that matter to you.”
